Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven
Currently 800 women and 7 men a year are diagnosed with breast cancer in Worcestershire. Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven is the only local breast cancer charity fundraising and supporting solely Worcestershire patients. We exist to provide practical and emotional support to the women and men of Worcestershire with their breast care needs, working closely with the NHS specialist breast care team to provide the best possible care in the best possible environment.

Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven is the only local breast cancer charity fundraising and supporting solely Worcestershire patients.
The charity was set up to support all patients diagnosed with breast cancer in Worcestershire, following on from the amazing work of the Worcestershire Breast Unit campaign. The campaign spanning 2009 to the end of January 2016 succeeded in raising the £1.5 million to fund the build of the Breast Unit, providing a peaceful and comfortable environment for patients at a stressful time.
The Worcestershire Breast Unit is a standalone building set in beautiful gardens on the Worcester Royal Hospital site, where our charity team works closely with the specialist NHS Breast Care Clinical team led by Steven Thrush, Breast Consultant Surgeon and one of our charity Trustees. Please click here to find out more about the Breast Unit.
Our Unit is recognised by clinicians as one of the leading breast units in the UK, providing clinical services and assistance over and above those that the NHS can fund or offer. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women – affecting one in 7 UK women, as well as one in 800 UK men. This statistic makes the work of our fabulous Breast Unit ever more important and means that fundraising done by the Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven charity is absolutely vital.
Our charity aim is to make the Worcestershire Breast Unit one of the best units in the UK, providing the best possible care in the best possible environment.

THE BREATHFEST MISSION
Nothing beats a breath of country air!
We work in Partnership with Breathfest who raise both awareness and funds for COPD and Farmers Lung. It was founded by Zoe Phillips in 2015, and with her dedicated team of Happy Helpers they create mini-fundraising events throughout the year to raise funds for the main music festival in the summer.
Breathfest is family-oriented and completely non-profit, giving all proceeds to charity. The monies are split between St. Michael's Hospice, Bartestree (Registered Charity 511179) which provides excellent care and respite for COPD sufferers and one other organisation chosen each year.

New Hope was established by Jean Wilson, a mother of a child with disabilities.
The need for the project was identified by Jean when she could not find suitable specialist daytime respite care for her daughter, Emily. She thought there must be other parents and carers in Worcestershire who were experiencing the same difficulty in finding a service which was open every school holiday and every Saturday throughout the year so she sought the opinions of other parents/carers and professionals the results were as she suspected, there was indeed a need for a new innovative project. With the help and support of Worcester Community Housing leasing the project a building rent free and donations from Worcester Round Table, Mencap, Tesco and the Lotto, New Hope was born on 28th July 2010.
We are a non-profit provision working with families who have children with disabilities and complex health care needs. New Hope is registered with Ofsted (number EY415233).

New Hope Worcestershire is a charity and Company Limited by Guarantee (1149659) and a Community Interest Company limited by shares (7113542 England). Registered Office 35, Wells Road, Worcester, WR5 1NN.
